Oculus Rift Development Kit 2 (DK2)

Oculus DK2

The next generation of gaming displays

If you know anything about me, the whole reason why I started my company other than to help people with computers was to fund my computer game habit. I have always wanted to be able to see more in a computer game.

I have been playing on 3 x 40 inch LED HDTV s for the past 2 years, this has been fun but I had to use memory injectors for games and supported games did not happen until very recently. Hence, this is the natural progression from my craziness. Just as it started to become standard and easy to play with the three monitors I go off in a different direction. I have to use a memory injector again and there are no fully supported games yet.

For the first two weeks Vorpx, I did not work with the DK2 so when I played it was only running at 720p and there was no head tracking. It made me violently sick a few times. Now that the driver is functioning, it supports quite a few more games and no longer makes me sick, well it does a little. There is a lot of room for improvement but you can definitely see that this is the way of the future.
